This Touratech Suspension damper unit is a cost-effective and effective upgrade for the rear shock absorber of the BMW R1250RT with BMW Dynamic ESA. The highlight: The original electronic spring preload (EPA) and the spring are still used. Only the electronic damper is replaced with a high-quality component from Touratech Suspension. Another advantage of this clever chassis tuning is that the front Dynamic ESA shock absorber from BMW can be retained. The upgrade is the ideal alternative as a replacement for worn or defective original damper units or as a driving dynamic upgrade for more comfort and driving fun. After the conversion, the semi-active shock absorber remains fully integrated into the motorcycle and processes the data from the central functional unit (ZFE) directly. No complex training of the electronics is required. Operation is carried out as usual via the standard switch units. The new electronic valve of the Plug & Travel dampers processes the signals from the vehicle's own sensors with unprecedented precision - the chassis reacts in real time to all eventualities. The low friction seal combines the best durability with a low breakaway torque, which ensures sensitive response in all driving situations. The new design of the Hyper Flow damper piston suppresses oil foam formation even at very high damper speeds, ensuring consistent performance even under the most extreme loads.

The progressive end stop gently slows down extreme compression movements for maximum comfort. The high-quality Uniball bearings are characterized by the best durability thanks to minimal tolerances. Their rubber seals are particularly pressure-resistant and effectively keep out dirt and water.

How does the Touratech Suspension Plug & Travel Upgrade work?

• Delivery option: We will arrange an appointment for you to send the rear standard Dynamic ESA BMW shock absorber to our Touratech Suspension Service Center.
• After your shock absorber arrives, the damper system will be converted within one working day. You will receive your upgraded shock absorber back as quickly as possible.
• Complete assembly option: You arrange a workshop appointment with us and we will carry out the complete upgrade including installation and removal at a fixed price in our Touratech Suspension Service Center.
